Both high school and middle school cross country competed in Ambassador league meet #3 on Tuesday, October 9th at Linfield Christian.
The varsity girls won the meet, with Ryley Burns finishing in first place (19:10), over a minute before the second place runner finished. Four other Lion runners placed in the top ten including, Emma Lakatos (21:15), Luca Burns (21:28), Sienna Blanche (22:38), and Jaida Norman (22:51).
JV girls also won the meet with Lions securing six out of the top 10 spots:
- Celine Harris- 1st (25:22)
- Janelle Krome – 2nd (26:14)
- Rebecca Graef – 3rd (26:31)
- Natalie Santillan – 8th (8:35)
- Kona Kozar – 9th (28:38)
- Maddie Byler – 10th (28:50)
Varsity boys finished in third place behind Woodcrest Christian and Ontario Christian for the second consecutive week. Caden Baird was the top finisher for the Lions (18:15), with Scudder Sinclair (18:16) and Nick Beucler (18:26) finishing right behind him.
JV Boys improved this week to finish in second place. Simon Gutierrez (20:37) was the top finisher for the Lions in 6th place, with Ben Franks (21:01) and Cameron Barron (21:24) also finishing in the top ten.
Middle school girls finished in 5th place behind lead runner Daisy Gale (14:21) who finished in 7th. Middle school boys improved to 5th place with Logan Pledger winning the race with a time of 12:25.
The Lions will run again next Tuesday, October 16th in the fourth Ambassador League Meet, which will take place at Citrus Heritage Park. Races will begin at 2:55 pm.
