Coach Eric Hawes has been leading the Linfield volleyball program since 2016. Prior to becoming a lion, Coach Hawes spent 12 years as an assistant volleyball coach at Emory University in Atlanta, and one year as an assistant at the University of West Georgia. In addition, Hawes also spent 12 years coaching club volleyball in Georgia. He has played the beautiful game for about 15 years, including collegiate club volleyball, indoor, and beach. Coach Hawes is passionate about helping players develop their individual skills and improve their understanding of and love for the game, and seeing the team succeed on the court at the highest level they can achieve. He believes that to do so, encouragement is always a must for players to work their hardest , play and practice with integrity, and always support their teammates. Coach Hawes manages a small software consulting company, is married to his wife Dani, and has two sons: Cannon and Casen.
